The Reminiscing Band

Steve has lived his whole life in the tampa bay area growing up in the music scene there. He began playing keyboards in the late 70's when synthesizers were  becoming a more dominate sound in popular music. He began playing professionally in the 80s in many different cover bands, mostly dance and classic rock. In the past 15 years, He has played in the tribute band circuit. A few of those tributes were Styx and Deep Purple. He graduated high school in the 70's, which is why he has an ambition to play the music from the 70's that he is so familiar with. He has such an appreciation for the memories that music brings.

Michael  J. Marth was born and raised in Chicago, and picked up his first guitar at age 11, started teaching private lessons at age 12 and began playing in night clubs and local concerts by age 13.  

​At age 14, Michael became an assistant manager and music instructor on Guitar and Bass guitar at Palos Music in the south suburbs of Chicago. There he worked through the music store with most musical touring acts of the middle to late 1970's including Styx, Heart, Journey, Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent, Rick Derringer, The Rolling Stones, Peter Frampton, Hermon's Hermits, Cab Callaway, George Benson, Buddy Rich, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and many more.  Since then, he has toured internationally with musical groups, Comedy Troupes, Show Bands and even Choral Performances at the Vatican.

As former President of the Tampa Bay Fingerstyle Guitar Guild, Michael constantly encourages neophyte and experienced professional guitar players alike to practice and hone their skills and try new styles.  

In 1979, Michael was offered the gig as guitarist and vocalist with the popular vocal group, "The Association" (Cherish, Everyone knows its Windy) who had many top 40 hits in the 1960's.  Michael declined the offer in order to continue his college music degree.

​Michael is currently the Music Director for 4pm Vigil and 11:30am Sunday Masses at Sacred Heart in Pinellas Park and the 5pm Sunday Youth Mass at Holy Family Church in St. Petersburg.

He is the former Music Director at Most Holy Name of Jesus Church and St. Luke the Apostle .  He continues to give private instruction on Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano and Voice from his home studio in Safety Harbor.

​Michael's influences include guitar legends: Chet Atkins, Andres Segovia, Tommy Emmanuel, George Benson, Michael Hedges, Martin Taylor, Buster B. Jones, and Sal D'Troia, just to name a few. His full-spectrum talent is unmatched whether he is rockin' out to AC/DC, jazzing it up with Count Basie, or singing the blues with BB King or .  When he sings "What a Wonderful World"  you expect to see Louis Armstrong in front of you; when you hear him sing Ave Maria it feels like heaven is opening its doors for a peek inside.  The final result is a unique style which crosses over a full range of musical genres:  Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Pop, and Percussion.

Since the late 80s, Eric has written, recorded, and performed with cover bands, tribute bands, and original bands which include Broken Faith, Wikked Steel, Kool Jam Luke, voodoo child, Glenn Mancini Band, Gringo, Nake, Restless Souls, Strange As Angels, Sore (paths of possession) , and Tree of Life to name a few. The musical genres that enveloped these projects were; Original Metal, prog rock, prog metal, fusion, latin, jazz, and blues. This new project will round him out to be an even more well-rounded drummer and conversely, his past experiences and talents should lend itself well to this latest project. 

Jim started performing in Jacksonville with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchett, and 38 Special. He went I on the road, playing throughout the US and overseas, opening for Leon Russell, Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie), and many others; while performing with members of The Animals, Steppenwolf, and many Nashville musicians.

Dave could fill this page talking about the famous people that he's played with or the famous venues that he's performed in, but who would care. It wouldn’t change who he is or what  music means to him. He was classically trained in vocals for 4 years at the famous Neighborhood Music School located in New Haven, CT. He plays guitar, saxophone, and some keys, but is first and foremost a second tenor singer. He's developed a three-octave (plus) range that he loves to test at every show. In addition to becoming a solid front man, he  has evolved into a well-rounded entertainer who loves to interact with everyone. He spent 2003 - 2011 as the front man for a popular CT local R & B/Rock group called "Timeless". Prior to that, he was in the CT's #1 vocal group called "CT Roxx". His last group was 2019-2024 when he played with "Big Time Jukebox." He enjoys a great deal of movement and emotion on stage when he's playing and  can usually be found in the crowd singing and dancing along. In short – He simply loves to perform !
